I'm in Ullapool at the moment for a week and was wondering where are the best places to go Birding anyone know?

Drive to Gairloch, stopping at Gruinard Island and Bay (both eagles, rock, dove, Twite, divers etc). There is a hide at Inverewe Gardens.

Another vote for the ferry trip to Stornoway - go as a foot passenger, just enough time to buy a bag of chips on Lewis) - whales, dolphins, seabirds eg petrels, shearwaters, skuas.
