Hey everybody. I'm new to the forum and wanted to say hi. I'm a keen bird photographer from the UK but currently on holiday in Malawi. Mainly looking for help with the identity of birds I tog while I'm out here. Any knowledgeable birders from Africa or who have visited Malawi? Cheers

Hi gilbouk and a warm welcome from me too.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I hope to hear about all the birds you see when out and about. You seem to be having a great time out in Malawi.

Hi Delia,

Thanks for welcoming me, and it's nice to meet a felllow Scot. I'm from near Glasgow. Where abouts are you from?

Getting some great help identifying some of the birds I'm seeing here on vacation already on here. I'm glad to have found the forum :)

Hi again gilbouk.

I'm a bit further north in Blairgowrie. Loch of the Lowes to the west and Kinnordy to the east.

All things Scottish can be found here. Also, keep an eye on threads titled something like Scottish Bashes; we try to meet up occasionally and they're always great fun. You'd be most welcome to join us on another if you can manage.

Thanks for the intro on the Scottish section. Big thumbs up and I'll definately look out for any future meetups. Thanks again
