Lesvos - your spring 2008 records (1 Viewer)

Following what was one of the best springs in for many years on Lesvos, including an unprecedented influx of Blue-cheeked Bee-eaters (mirrored elsewhere in the eastern Med), a good number of eagle sightings and one of the best ever falls of passerines on 27 Apr, Nikos Probonas of the Hellenic Rarities Committee (HRC) has asked me to encourage all birders who visited Lesvos this spring to submit their bird records, in particular records of national Greek rarities.

A statement from Nikos and more info on the species covered by the HRC submitting your records can be seen on the www.lesvosbirding.com HRC page.

It would be sad to see many of the great records reported this spring to be lost from the Greek national record.
