ATX/STX rumor (1 Viewer)

I understand that I had incorrect info and the rumor was just that. Its not true. I would delete post if I knew how.

I would guess 1.800 gramB :)

Eventually a bit more as area of glass increase at a square proportion...
The price eventually would be 1000 euros more expensive than the X95...
Could Swaro do it? Sure they can but would be there a market for it?
Well I would get one, such a version would be great for BTX users but I don't know if the BTX is a commercial success... Jan, how many BTX you sell compared to ATX and STX?
If Swaro would do an astronomical and/or photo version (well I did suggest it to them...), the potential market would also increase...o:D
In terms of market, Swaro most probably will first improve their eyepiece modules to reply to Harpia...3:)

Hi Rodrigues,

If it would come out;), it most certainly would be meant first for the BTX.
We have an increasing demand for first class observation optics and besides Kowa, Fujinon and DocterOptik there is not so much choice. With a 115BTX Swarovski beats the S***T out of the Fujinon. First in price, second in performance and third in after sales service (shame on you Fuji).
I also asked for it since ages and hopefully, finally.........B :)

The 115 rumour has been around for quite a while.
As an old saying goes "No wave without wind".
I guess we will find out pretty soon this summer.

About time, a decent size spotting scope.

Triplet ED objective?

There will probably be other makers now with 115mm or 120mm spotting scopes.

I have been using 120mm refractor scopes and 150mm Maksutovs terrestrially for decades.

Regards,
B.
