Actually, the message is only asking if you are sure you need to add to the old thread. If your answer is “yes”, then there is a tick box you can use to override the warming.

Having said that- it’s a good picture!

In addition, check https://www.birdforum.net/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/626030/ppuser/7427 and https://www.birdforum.net/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/626027/ppuser/7427

There will be many more coming from a recent visit to Ecuador in my area of the gallery: https://www.birdforum.net/gallery/showgallery.php/cat/500/ppuser/7427

Thanks, i saw that bit carried on did my post then it blocked me again

First day out in the field with a G9 and the 100-400. Checking the shots (shooting raw) in the field on the camera monitor I thought they looked poor but was pleasantly surprised when I got them on the computer - with my Canon setup it was often that they looked good on the back of the camera but poor on the computer! The attached were taken at full zoom and the birds are probably at a distance beyond which is the 'record shot' zone. Full image (resized) and a crop (slightly resized) - very pleased with the detail at that range.
