Red dot finder (1 Viewer)

I raised the subject of astronomy back in February and since then I've read a lot of stuff and bought rather too much kit. But one thing I wish I'd known about when I first started was this clever gadget. It's a bracket that fits between your scope and the tripod to add a red dot finder. If you've ever tried to find something in the night sky, particularly with an angled scope, you'll know how frustrating it is. I now use a similar bracket for a pair of 15x70 bins on a tripod. I might not have bothered with a separate astronomy scope if somebody had told me about this one!
