Bird Identification, Welney Washland, Cambs UK 27th Nov 06

Hi,

Would anyone have ideas on the names of the two birds from the picture. The image did not come out as clear as I would have liked! This was taken at Welney Washland, Cambridgeshire, UK late afternoon.

Features of the birds are bright orange beak and limbs. Mainly white bodies with some upright black markings.

Regards Alan

Alan,

They would appear from the indistinct image to be some form of farmyard geese!

I'm afraid I agree with Terry. Them's domestic geese (wild ancestor presumably Greylag Goose)
