Pyrausta.. but aurata or purpuralis? Staffs uk. (1 Viewer)

I know these two are difficult to separate, but based on the spots next to the costa I'm prone to opt for purpuralis, but I'm not confident enough to go for it 100%.

Your thoughts please?

I'd say aurata but you need to see a bit more of the hindwing to be certain.

It does seem to be lacking the 'seagull' shaped markings on the forewing that are diagnostic of purpuralis.

And it is definitely golden rather than purple !

I neglected to mention size in my original post.. barely more than 1cm span.
