The theme for July 2008 is Camouflaged Birds.

We had 45 entries this month of which all have been included for members to vote upon.

Please vote for your favourite entry.

Entries can be viewed as -

1. Thumbnails
or
2. Slideshow

Voting will conclude after seven days from today after which each entry they will be moved to it's respective gallery forum.

Really tough to pick just one on this competition with so many good photos. It would be nice if voters had the option to make first, second, and third choices. Though I suppose that would require more complex software.

Best,
Jim

I feel the same. Quite often it would be nice to have two if not three options. Unfortunately the software only permits either one vote or limitless voting. Hopefully a future version will increase the number of limited options.

The theme this month was 'Camouflaged Birds'.

All 48 entries were included in the voting booth for members to select their favourite entry. 89 members cast their vote.

Voting was pretty close for most of the time but one entry gradually edged a little ahead of the rest of the field.

First place goes to

Chris Kotze with Scops Owl(1) which attracted 11/89 votes.

Second place was a three way split all taking 6/89 votes.

raulqc with Sleeping Beauty

jtwood with Savanna Nightjar

alan carr with Fireynecked Nightjar

Congratulations to the winners

The entries will remain in place a few days before being moved to their respective forums.

I knew this would be a close one between the 'owls' and the 'nightjars' well done all -congratulations Chris.

Congratulations Chris, beautiful picture.
Congratulations also to jtwood and Alan, honor to be in such nice company.
Thanks to all that left constructive comments and critiques on my entry.
