Hawk, Ft Worth, Texas area, this morning (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I attached 2 zoomed in photos of a hawk that flew into our yard this morning. What kind is it? This was a first - that we actually saw a hawk flying into our yard. We've had several owls.

The first time he landed, he was about 45 feet from our patio.

The second time (close to the fence line) he was about 90 feet. This image is not zoomed in.

It was about 645am.

Thank you
Ruthie

Those pale braces on the back are a good mark for juv Red-tailed Hawk, and the proportions and rest of plumage look good as well.
