Viva 8x25 alignment (1 Viewer)

This was an old posting about a Viva I had that was out of alignment.

I have finally got round to working on it and it was a lot easier than I expected.
You just unscrew the oculars, remove the prism plates and the 2 halves of the body just push and slide off toward the front. You can then easily see the prism adjustment screws, replace the oculars, a couple of small adjustments on one side, bit of alignment checking and all fixed. While I had the body off I re-sprayed it back to its original silver color, as someone had painted it matt black, badly. There is not very much to these at all, easy to work on. They are all good now, clear and sharp, although FOV is quite small.
