Having Issue Setting up My Scope (1 Viewer)

I have a Bushnell Spacemaster II.

I bought a t-ring to mount to my camera (Canon 5D MKI)
And Bushnell Mount 22-3020.

The guy I bought the mount from promised me it would work just like that, but apparently the 22-3020 does NOT work with the Spacemaster II Zoom eyepiece.

He seller is now telling me the 78-1120 eyepiece will fit. But when I look at photos of it, it has threads on one end (which I assume would screw into the scope) and what looks like rubber on the other end (so I don't see how the mount would screw into the rubber). Am I missing something, or will this eyepiece solve my woes?

Assuming that eyepiece does fit, are there any issues with its quality?

Thank you.

The seller is saying the mount will slip over the eyepiece, but the mount's female end is only 1 1/16". I don't see how it will fit over any eyepiece. It is so narrow.

The t-ring he sold me fits into the mount perfectly. It's the other end with the eyepiece that is the problem. Please help, I want to take some photos!
