Rather faded noctuid (1 Viewer)

No, didn't think (still very amateur). Am beginning to think it looks a bit like a Lesser Yellow Underwing, even though it seemed a hell of a lot smaller.
 
Measuring the forewing is also a good one in extreme cases (but you do get 'runts' occasionally).

Jizz seems wrong for Lesser to me, but could be wrong. Should have a 'smooth' head and thorax, and think the mark near tip of forewing would still be there if that species? Photos and faded moths aren't meant to be easy!
