Female Stonchat (Saxicola torquata) and Caterpillar

Female Stonechat with food in NE Hampshire England.
I had watched the pair of Stonechats coming and going with food, to a nest which must have been nearby. I saw them with many different food items and they were not affected by my presence at all. They often used this perch, so I simply set up the camera and waited for a shot.

Greenfinch

Taken at Old Moor RSPB, Dearne Valley, near Rotherham during the Birdforum Bird Count day.

Thought I'd have a go at this comp, especially as this has to be one of the clearest shots I've achieved so far. (Absolutely nothing to do with the money!)

Date Taken : 2003/05/04 13:57:43
Focal Length : 19.1 mm

May 2003 Competition

I tried 4 shots and could only get one in focus. This is male and female Rose-breasted Grosbeaks. Taken out my bathroom window on May 2, 2003. The subjects are about 4 to 5 feet away in my backyard. Pictures were taken with a Canon pro90 IS on automatic, 70mm with 2x digital zoom on.
