Bald Eagles in Oregon (1 Viewer)

Just wondered if someone could say what the prevelance of bald eagles is in Oregon. I am currently visiting Portland and going to Ridgefield today. (can't wait) Yesterday I saw a very large raptor, much bigger than a red tailed hawk south of Portland. I'm a bit stumped by it but think B Es are probably pretty scarce around here. It didn't have a white head but maybe could have been a juvenile. Any comments?

I wouldn't be at all surprised if you saw a BE in the Portland area. I am in the Eugene / Springfield area and I see them somewhat regularly at the right time of year. We also commonly have Osprey in the Northwest:h?:. I hope you enjoyed your stay. Any highlights?
