I found this unfortunate individual last summer. It was dead less than an hour I'm guessing.
Overall length would be close to 10 inches, And it would have been nice to get the head but it was gone. It may have been a pet as it was found in a suburban area. Any guesses as to the species?
There is no limit to what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Well, it's a reptile for sure. Probably some type of fence lizard although a head would help!
While it may be an escaped pet, it's more likely a lizard species that survives quite well in parks and yards. Looking at photos of species that occur in your county should lead to you identifying this unfortunate creature.
Sorry I can't be more help.
