Weather today was cool with a light wind and rain for most of the day.
My family commitments on the 1st keep me in close contact with the cooker, I cook the family meal.
My birds today all came from the garden.

The weather today was a very mild day between 8-10c with barely a breeze and some welcome winter sunshine. A perfect day for birding.Local area today with the target birds being the Two-barred Crossbills at Boomhead Reservoir, we weren't disappointed.

Weather today was very blustery winds with some sunshine but the wind was extremely cold when exposed in it.
Looking at the weather we thought we had an opportunity to get at least a mornings birding before the gale force winds and torrential rain made it from the south.

Weather today was much improved after the gale force winds and torrential rain.
The wind had abated although quite breezy it was fine and with some winter sunshine only spoilt by a 20 minute rain shower.
It was off back to Nottinghamshire.

Weather was reasonably warm today the winds of the last few days had abated.
A friend and I decided on a trip to the Wirral Peninsula to catch up with some of the reported birds. It was a good day out , and a great fish and chip Lunch.

A wander around the local area nearby to where I live whilst awaiting news on my car ailments from the garage.

The weather today was a cold blustery wind and rain heavy at times.
After two weeks without transportation whilst my car had major surgery, it was time to go on a short trip , ok not so short 140 mile round trip.

Weather today was very Spring like with sunshine and small breeze. Cool but much warmer than previous few days.
Next Atlantic depression due tomorrow gales and torrential rain.

Fabulous views of lots of Marsh Harriers comming into roost and a superb
adult male Hen Harrier.
Fabulous day again.

Hi John

Your list seems to be going well. Blacktoft Sands is my favourite RSPB reserve. I was over there in November and also saw a Hen Harrier. It came in with the Marsh Harriers at the end of the day as the light was going. Great to watch.

Yes my friend and I go to Blacktoft a few time a year, gets some good birds there.
I was well chuffed with the male Hen Harrier they have always eluded me seen plenty ringtails. Stunning bird.
Spring and autumn is reserved for Spurn, fabulous place , suffered horrendus damage with the recent tidal surge, point is vitually an island at the moment.

An Rare Bird Alert saw us heading North.

Weather was sunny with a very cool breeze, turned to showers later in day.
A trip was arranged to a reserve in Lincolnshire, for a reported Arctic Redpoll,
however we failed to locate this bird.
