Bird bath considerations and recommendations (1 Viewer)

The birds still haven't returned to my feeder, thinking maybe a real bath would help attract them (up till now we've kept a deep hollow in a stone filled; birds loved it while they were here). What should I look for in terms of size, color, material, etc? Any specific recommendations? What about ones like THIS and glass ones like THIS ?
Thanks!

Definitely not the second one please, that's for humans and hardly natural. If possible have 2, one for those that like to drink or bath closer to the ground, like your stone one with a dip and then perhaps one such as the first one you mention. I have two in my garden and both are well used by a variety of birds.
Perhaps your "pedestal" type could be stone as well.
Position them away from each other but somewhere where you can observe them but the birds have some privacy and aren't easily spooked.
Good luck.....keep feeding and with patience they'll return.
