Bald Eagle - opportunists (1 Viewer)

Ben Franklin noted that Bald Eagles are birds of bad moral character.
Why would they have dignity?

Wonder if he said that because he was advocating for the Turkey to be the national bird! :-O:-O

Great video

Think that Franklin's characterization of the Turkey as sagacious and prudent was in a letter to a relative. His comment on the Bald Eagle was in the same document.

Afaik, he never spoke publicly about the matter or take a stance on the choice of national bird.
