I thought the following might be of interest.

Red necked phalarope in sandwell

Hi Yamyam. I saw your note about a Red Necked Phalarope being shot in Handsworth in 1887. You might be interested to know that one was shot at Great Barr Quarry (now Queslett Reserve) in the 1970s. I did the taxidermy on it, and still have a rather crude water colour painting of it.

Possible Dunlin flew to back of islands, Common Tern chicks now in two locations but both being fed by parent birds. 2 M Pochard per Wali Taylor

Late news yesterday
The Common Sandpiper was still present spending a lot of time on the bund per Mel Jones
