Meostar B1 7x50 is here (1 Viewer)

Astigmatism and spherical aberration may be all the explanation you need. That's particularly true if a star test comparison with the Swarovski using the small aperture stop I mentioned still shows the same aberrations.

I'd be happy to check them out if you lived nearby, but I wouldn't want you to undertake the high risk of shipping them halfway across the planet and back just for my opinion, Much better to send them to Meopta, where they can actually fix them.

This thread is old but I will continue because it is interesting today

My friend obtained a Meopta B1 8x56 and I jumped to him to compare the B1 8x56 and my B1 7x50. Particularly in terms of sharpness and clarity

And to compare the 8x56 and the 7x50 with my SLC 7x50 that I originally found much superior to the B1 7x50

What i found: the B1 8x56 is giving an image slightly sharper and clearer than the B1 7x50. Obvious, but not much. My friend told me it is just because the 8x56 has a longer focal length. But all in all, they are in the same class to my eyes.

My SLC 7x50 is much better than both the Meoptas in terms of sharpness and clarity. An obvious different class

This is consistent with my original impression comparing the B1 7x50 with the SLC 7x50 that has been discussed earlier in this thread. The B1 7x50 is therefore not deffective (good for me).

My friend also has a B1 HD 10x42 but i am not interested in that format so did not discuss here
