Ah, nearly forgot one from that trip to Neuchâtel:

047) Red-crested Pochard, Neuchâtel, CH, 07/01/2009.

A failed trip to see the burgdorf Wallcreeper gave:

048) Dipper, River Emme, Burgdorf, CH, 08/01/2009.

Yesterday, while telling the father-in-law about the finches we get in the garden and his mild surprise at the occasional Brambling, a male showed up just outside the window:

049) Brambling, Bümpliz, CH, 17/01/2009.

And today's wander by the Aare gave (apart from the Dippers, Water Pipits and Pintails):

050) (Eurasian) Treecreeper, Elfenau LNR, CH, 18/01/2009.

A trip to Murren and the Schilthorn gave some nice birds:

051) Alpine Chough, Mürren, CH, 22/01/2009.
052) Alpine Accentor, Mürren, CH, 22/01/2009.
053) Citril Finch, Mürren, CH, 22/01/2009.
054) Raven, Mürren, CH, 22/01/2009.
055) Snowfinch, Schilthorn, CH, 22/01/2009. Lifer

071) Fieldfare, Wohlensee, River Aare, Bern, 14/02/2009.
072) Tree Sparrow, Wohlensee, River Aare, Bern, 14/02/2009.

And quite a few escapees/ferals/hybrids:
Brent Goose, blue-morph Snow Goose, Black Swan and Ruddy Shelduck. Apparently, the last two are likely to get a bullet in the near future.

A lovely morning out at Krümmi, twitching the Rough-legged Buzzard, gave some very nice birds:

073) Yellowhammer, Krümmi, CH, 26/02/2009.
074) Skylark, Krümmi, CH, 26/02/2009.
075) Rough-legged Buzzard, Krümmi, CH, 26/02/2009. Lifer!
076) Great Grey Shrike, Krümmi, CH, 26/02/2009.
077) Jackdaw, Krümmi, CH, 26/02/2009.
078) Lapwing, Krümmi, CH, 26/02/2009.
079) Hen Harrier, Krümmi, CH, 26/02/2009.
080) Peregrine Falcon, Krümmi, CH, 26/02/2009. CH

The Peregrine was tucking into a freshly-killed Wigeon and was the first I've seen of one of those in a few years. I was especially happy with the Lapwings as I've only seen a few in Switzerland and none near me before.
The Rough-legged Buzzard was quite something. It was sat in a bush, watching a field and then when it dived into the field, you could only see the black belly-patch (being a female) and the light beige heads and breast belnded in perfectly with the stubble. I saw it a few more times, being chased by Crows around the area.
