I was watching a middle of the night European news service which had a report on a remote village in Northern Turkey (Kuskoy) where the residents communicate in the language of the birds - whistling across rooftops and up and down hillsides ! :flyaway:
Really quite fascinating and intricate :t:
This culturally significant language is under threat from the modern world and has been UNESCO listed and funded to teach younger generations and preserve it.

Couldn't help but notice that the landscape is similar to Gomera, where people also have a whistling language - acoustically suitable maybe.
