What are you watching?

Ok, we've got what are you reading so how about what are you watching? Any recommendations? What to avoid etc.

Recently watched the BBC Scotland series about the Hebrides - fantastic series.

Yesterday though:

Big Bang Theory (repeat and much better than the new series IMO)
British Lions vs Baa Baas on You Tube.
Spring Watch (of course)

World Cup qualifier: Oman v Iraq...0-0 at half time

Japan v Oz was a good 1-1 draw earlier with Japan qualifying for 2014 with a last minute penalty equaliser...

McM

Spoke too soon 1-0 Oman 'right on the stroke of half time'

Last edited by McMadd : Tuesday 4th June 2013 at 13:52. Reason: Oman scored with last kick of the half!

I've been watching The Fall on BBC2 - good to see Gillian Anderson back on our screens, I thought she was brilliant in the X-Files.

Ice Age Giants with Alice Roberts has been good.

Others I've been watching recently: Springwatch, Hebrides.

Coming up on Sunday is the new plate tectonics programme with Iain Stewart, that should be good.

I don't have Sky Atlantic, but I'll be buying the third series of Game of Thrones as soon as it's out on Blu-ray. Loved the first two series, one of the best things on TV.

Watching Springwatch, The Fall and waiting for Falling Skies Season 1 to arrive on DVD from eBay.

I know what you mean about Game of Thrones JT. I have watched Seasons 1&2 on Blu-ray-twice! Going on previous schedules though, it may be 2014 before we get Season 3 on DVD and Blu-ray.

Other brilliant offerings from the US that I have enjoyed include The Sopranos, Deadwood, Boomtown and Justified.

I also enjoyed all 3 series of The Killing, and the US version, and am a devotee of Wallander in all 3 of his guises.

I watch old Golden Girls episodes after work and sometimes Antiques Roadshow, Big Bang Theory or Everybody Loves Raymond. Also, if there are any new nature/science shows on PBS or something I will watch those. In the morning before work I watch Meerkat Manor sometimes, Daily Show, regular news or whatever is on.

Watching "Frasier". Only problem is that I am recording three episodes a day and only watch one. Now got five "pages" of programs on hard drive!

Brilliant series. I like them all but particularly the ones where they go camping or on a road trip in the Winnebago.

Some US comedy series are pure gold and 30 Rock is one such.

I also used to have a soft spot for Married, With Children

Malcolm in the Middle wasn't bad.

How I Met Your Mother is a bit like Friends, now past its sell-by-date.

Lions v Western Force. Half-time:

Lions 27 Force 3

Back row working well but bad news for Healey at #1. Looks like a bad injury at the moment.

Just been watching the updated series Mr Crabtree Goes Fishing - Fishing In The Footsteps of Mr Crabtree. Lovely series about getting kids involved in fishing in the style of the old Mr Crabtree book by Bernard Venables.

Been doing more fishing than birding this summer.

Good to Rhys Gill back in the red jersey but in all honesty Japan will be very disappointed.
