Field Guide Bag for the Tropics (1 Viewer)

Hi all,
I know it's considered the height of dudiness in the UK at least, but when I am birding abroad I like to have my field guide with me...in the field. Don't judge me - it's just how I like to live my life! My current shoulder bag is not ideal as it lets water in and is a bit of a faff. Are there any other dudes out there who have found a good bag which can accommodate and protect from rain the larger size field guides, say Howell and Webb's Mexico brick?
Thanks
Sean

I find it easiest to use a hip pack because that way the straps don't interfere with bins and camera straps. Some larger field guides don't fit really easily into hip packs though.

I doubt many people don't, certainly when visiting a new country or one that they haven't been to for some time. I do know some people who've learnt the feld guide before visiting somewhere but personally I don't have anywhere near that much time in my life!
