Well hello all.
My name is Nathan. I live in Danbury, CT. I have been watching birds for many years but have just started identifying birds over the last few years.
I just got done with my ebird October Big Day and had a really good time.
It does get lonely sometimes though, not having someone to talk birds with. So I thought it might be fun to join a group with others who like getting lost in the birding time suck same as me. Nice to be here.
 
Hi Nathan, welcome to the forum on behalf of the staff and administrators. Nice of you to join in, if you want a place to hang out and talk birds I think you well really enjoy yourself here.
 
Nathan you have come to the right place. Take a walk around the site: its big with lots going on. Dip in wherever it appeals to you and you will soon become part of our community of bird-minded folks.
