Is there anybody at Beidaihe for cranewatch, or plan to go in the near future?


I wonder whether the cranes have come? It's been quite warm this week.

btw, the Beidaihe railway station has been shut down since Oct. 8th for renovation. Therefore anyone wants to go to Beidaihe has to go to Qinhuangdao Station first.

Hi Blancheliu,

The regular 'team' won't be there this year, but we're hoping that we will get the Crane festival off the ground for next year instead.

You could contact Jean Wang, I'm sure you have her details. A good northerly/cold snap from next week should produce a movement.

Some have arrived at their wintering ground eg. Shanghai and Poyang Lake.
Did they pass Beidaihe or thru another route?
