A few more pictures from our visit to Lantau yesterday can I have help with IDs please, I have left my book on Hong Kong behind somewhere on our travels.

Im not sure if this will help much but this picture is the same bird before it moved onto the roof, photographed near the giant Buddha.

I was thinking Carrion Crow from the first image but the second image showing the steep forehead makes me think Large-billed.
 
The crow is Large-billed. These are very common on Lantau, with a couple of large overnight roosts. Carrion Crow is a vagrant to HK, with fewer than 10 records.

I agree with the others. The Blue Rock Thrush is philippensis.

Thanks John. I didn't know that - I just saw it was on the HK list on Wikipedia. I should have looked at a proper checklist.
