I WANT A BURDIE
Hello,

A few days ago, I fell in love with the cutest GCC at my local petco... he kept rolling around on his back as if he wanted a belly rub... |:$|
This got me looking into all types of parrots and I found my top 2: sun conure and hyacinth.
How can I get one of these, and manage to avoid noise complaints in my nyc apt?

An excerpt from noise code:

Animal noise that is unreasonable and plainly audible from within
nearby residential property may call for enforcement action if the noise
occurs:
k After 7:00 am and before 10:00 pm for a continuous period of 10
minutes or more
k After 10:00 pm and before 7:00 am for a continuous period of five
minutes or more

Do they go on for more than 10 min at a time, assuming i regularly spend ~7ish hours a day with them/in same room?

Thanks!:t:

Hi Nile and a warm welcome to you from those of us on staff here at BirdForum.

Unfortunately for you, BirdForum is dedicated to wild birds and nature and not captives. I suggest you do a google search for pet birds. But we would love to hear about all the wild birds you come across when you are out and about. ;)
