Ring-necked Ducks, juvenile or female? - Eastern Ontario, Canada (1 Viewer)

Shot yesterday morning in eastern Ontario, Canada, I'm fairly certain these are ring-necked ducks but don't know if they're juveniles or females. Can someone clarify which they are?

I think they're juveniles, contrasting pale band towards bill end is lacking, quite contrasting in adults.

Cheers

The subterminal band on the bill perhaps rather less contrasting in autumn adult females but the dark irises age these as autumn ‘female-type’ juveniles.
