Jubilee River (1 Viewer)

It's looking like the Shrike will winter at the Slough Sewage Farm. So far during its stay it can be very elusive!! I believe it is only the second ever recorded there. The previous just staying for a single day (not sure what year).

Not seen the GGS for several days now, and neither had the other birders I came across in the area.

Shame, but someone somewhere else may now be in luck.

21/12/12 @1500 flock of 25 Waxwing at the car park off Lake Road, SL4 6QS. Not shy or spooked being watched and snapped from 5 metres. At 1600 had moved about 50 meters east of the car park.

100 plus Swifts and higher numbers of mixed hirundines split several times by an adult hobby. Good numbers of Willow warblers including a singer. Nearby on flooded Dorney Common the 2 juv Wood Sanders were present with 1 Common sand and a juv Ringed Plover, 1 garganey in bright sunshine nearby.
