Monopod (1 Viewer)

I use both a monopod and tripod which is manfrotto. I would not use this type of set uo though. It is only my personal opinon.

Although the 393 is shown as a monopod head I think most people use it on a tripod. Just about every review I have read rate this head highly for heavy lenses although I have not got one myself. Take a look at Andy Brights review in the review section of this site. http://www.birdforum.net/reviews/showproduct.php/product/129/cat/19/limit/recent/date/1067178244
I was reading a review only a few days ago where some guy rated it as being just as effective as a full gimbal head costing five times as much.

EDIT: Although the photo shows the lens hanging on the head most people do not use it in this way.
