Birds that are listed as resident are birds that are living year round in one particular location? I am sorry if this question seems stupid, but the ones that are resident also breed in the areas where they stay year round? And one more question, where individual species winter is where they just spend the winter months, without breeding, would that be correct?

Quick meaning of resident.....a person who lives or spends a length of time in one place.

Birders have differing points of views as discussed in the earlier thread - scientific or general. Answer would be found at the end of infinity I guess.
