Large Bee north Goa help please

Saw several of these in North Goa but can't seem to find what they are called any help please

Looks like a Violet Carpenter Bee Xylocopa violacea but not sure about similar species there.

Certainly a Xylocopa sp, but suspect it's a different one there, though certainly looks superficially identical to X. violacea.

Had a quick Google and violacea ranges right across to China.
