Digiscoping and telephoto (1 Viewer)

usually when digiscoping the camera is hooked up to the eyepiece & the focal length(1000-2000mm) is much longer (more magnification) than a d-slr & telephoto lens (500mm)can reach
the telephoto is usally a nice fit & easier to use from my experience - they both pursuits require a good tripod (some telephotos can get away with a monopod)
can you be more specific about what differences you are interested in>?

With digiscoping, it is on manual focus but with telephoto that has AF-S, you could do in Autofocus and Manual at the same time.

Digiscoping is good with stationary subjects but with good practiced, it is possible with moving birds.
