B&H has the Vanguard 8x32 Endeavor ED II for $299 plus a $60 mail-in rebate plus a $50 binocular pouch, so if you want all that it's like $189 for them.

62048-MINOX BL HD 8x44mm Black-294.99 -10% +S&H

From Chattanooga, TN S&H sets me back around 15 clams to central Arkansas. The 10X44 is 304.99 -10% + S&H. These are the older/discontinued models that were introduced in 2014. The new BL line is easily detected by their angled bridge.

Still, for 265/275 & change TTD for me those would seem a sweet deal.
Expires 9/4/18 at midnight EST.

Here's a review from 2014:

https://www.irelandswildlife.com/min...ocular-review/

The BL HD 8x33 demo is not nearly as deeply discounted at $248.00 -10% +S&H which comes to around 238 to me door. Still, that's less than half of the new BL line.
As always, YMMV ...

I have a 25% off coupon for LL Bean that expires 9-18. PM me if interested. It seems to work on the Monarch HG, but not Swaro.

Lots of good deals here. I saw this spotting scope and it has good reviews that and I wonder if this is on sale somewhere. I'm interested in getting this and i thought anyone might know a site that has this on sale? https://outdoorempire.com/best-spott...opes-reviewed/

I see five scopes, six if you count the one not reviewed, on that page.

ErictheGuy, I was looking around and following rabbit trails....
That Alpen scope caused me to look into the Rainier model. It is the top of the line.
Alpen has stopped selling, so someday I should find an Alpen Rainier on sale.

Today the Alpen Rainier Scope, model 854 ED HD / 20-60×85 is on sale for 700 Dollars!

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Alpen-Raini...53.m1438.l2649

Used from Billings Montana.

A very good deal.

Hello Andy,

I must caution that anyone in the USA who imports this binocular may not have a valid guarantee. Zeiss USA may only guarantee binoculars which it imports. Maybe, Zeiss in Germany would service it but the shipping would be at the owners expense.

Happy bird watching,
Arthur Pinewood

Of course you are correct Arthur, one would have to send it to Europe (Warranty or other service) on their own if purchased here in the US.

I missed the 15% off ebay event. Do you have to sign up to get notifications, or are such discounts not offered in US?
I'd like to get in the loop. Thanks

That was a very detailed ad and funny. Just like the ones depicted by advertisers in Bill Cooks book, the advertising is still around for well....garbage.
