As bright as a Kingfisher (1 Viewer)

Mouldy

skywatcher, dragonhunter
This week I was reminded of something I once said to a photographer friend of mine - that I had yet to see a photo (or painting) that fully does justice to the outstandingly bright colouring of a Kingfisher as seen in the wild.

Anybody out there in BF land want to prove me wrong? photo, own pic, pic by renowned artist, I know its subjective but interesting to see what a wider search comes up with. And whatever, it's a beautiful bird so let's see some pics!

For the record here are my best efforts (only efforts to date) in watercolours, though the blues in the first two pics have come out darker than in the originals.

Cheers
