Metz flash for fz150 (1 Viewer)

Hi, I have just bought an fz150 (it hasn't arrived yet) and I already have a metz 20 c-2 flash, does anyone know if this will work on this camera? thanks, jacqui.

I am not sure that this combination will be very common and you may not get a very rapid response so I am giving an opinion based on the specifications of both. If anyone can verify the following or correct it I am sure Jacqui will be delighted.

There is a good probability it will work, though you will need to set the aperture and ISO manually p176/177 of your new cameras manual for guidance.
As the flash is a current model the trigger voltage should be OK and not fry your camera.

The Metz 20 C-2 has a fixed 35mm equivalent coverage so I guess its use would be limited to domestic interior type shots or relative close ups outside.

My feeling is that you will eventually end up being happier with a dedicated unit, in addition to the Panasonic flash units Metz do a full range of guns that should be compatible with the auto features of you camera according to their compatability chart.

Hi, thanks for your reply, ok, that is what I thought might be the case. I have tried it on a fuji bridge and it worked (manually) quite well, hopefully it might just do until I can afford a dedicated unit, at least it has a bounce head/reflector which is better than the direct flash of the pop up camera flash, thanks, jacqui.
