ID on ringed gull (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Came across a large young gull on 13th of Aug, Kallaste in Estonia. As young gulls can be notoriously hard to ID I am not sure of the species. But I managed to read the ring so hopefully someone can look it up.

On right leg yellow plastic ring with black text CX531.

I checked the http://www.cr-birding.org/ website but couldn't find a match from there. Might be orange ring that appeared yellow in bright sunlight?

Any info appreciated.

Thx Alan. I assumed that as all the examples in the project you mentioned started with letter H, it doesn't fit. But maybe the H was just a example and it doesn't matter what letter the code started with. I sent an email to the contact address so hopefully will get a reply.
