I have several common buzzards in the fields right next to my house. for the past few weeks they have been circling, diving and CRYING almost non stop!
Can anyone tell me why they are doing this - I thought they only did aerial acrobatics and calling in the early spring.

Hi Helen and welcome on behalf of the Staff and Moderators

I know what you mean... was on my patch the other day and one was calling constantly for the hour and a half I was there.

These will be newly-fledged ones calling for food from the parents.

Hello Helen and welcome to BF. Now is when this year's juveniles start flying; that causes a lot of noise, mostly from them but also their parents.
