Found amongst moss/grass within the dune system at Holkham pines during October. Any help would be really appreciated.

Hi Dave,

I remember seeing this one a couple of months ago but unfortunately even now I have no idea.

The granulose cap and stem both remind me of Cystolepiota, but I can't think of a species that fits well. It would be nice to know if the gills were free (I guess they were)....I'd be happy to study it under the 'scope if you find it again.

Cheers,
Nick

Hi Nick.

Many thanks for taking a look.

I have seen this particular type at Holkham twice now so if i do come across it again this autumn i would gladly take up your very kind offer.

Regards,

Dave.
