Ringed Siskin (1 Viewer)

Brenty

Well-known member
I noticed a female Siskin in my garden in Bryneglwys, north wales, today with pink/red aluminium rings on each leg. Anyone have any info?
Many thanks.

Just to clarify. The rings on each leg were reddish pink in colour. Not two separate colours. Sorry for any confusion.

Just had a look through cr-birding.org and can't find a colour ringing project listed for siskins

They sound more like the rings used by cage bird breeders than wild bird colour rings to me, so it might well be an escapee. Was it with other Siskins?
Report it through Euring or cr-birding and you'll find out.

Mick
