This is probably an easy question to answer but I am not very familiar with Swarovski, being quite new to birdwatching and happily using Zeiss Dialyt 7x42B T*P* and Victory 8x42 HT.
However I'm looking to buy -- new or used -- 8x32 binoculars for when I'm out running or hiking and though they'll mostly be used to help with navigation (I can't get on with 20 and 25 sizes as they're so fiddly) I would like it if they are good for nature too.
The question: have there been different versions or marks of the 8x32 EL? This is important to know when reading older reviews.. for instance (but bear in mind it's 32s I'm interested in, not 42s) an older review mentioned the 8.5x42's yellowish colour bias, but the ones I've looked through - recent ones - in a shop definitely had a bluish slant. If there have been changes, can anyone tell me what things have changed, whether they are considered improvements, and so on?
And additionally what is the feeling about smoothness of focusing action? I wasn't that impressed with one new example I tried out recently. But I did like the overall feel and effect very much.
