Ideas for Salt Lake City in mid-May? (1 Viewer)

My wife and I are going to be in Salt Lake for several days in the middle of May. We'll have time for a little birding, but unfortunately won't be able to go on any of the trips organized through the Birdfest.

Can anyone recommend any sites that will be good at this time of year? I'm more used to visiting in winter.

I'm thinking of Parley's and Big Cottonwood Canyons, maybe Butterfield Canyon and Antelope Island also.

I've no particular target birds in mind, just a range of birds that we don't see in southeast Texas.
