Hello (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone my name is Sean, took a photo of a pink Magpie today.
It was eating out of my small birds window feeder, got my camera and he jumped onto the hedge.

Hi Sean and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators.

Gosh!! A Maggie on a window feeder... did it survive?!! (the feeder I mean LOL). You may be surprised to hear that Magpies are quite a rarity here; I'm lucky to see 1 or 2 a year.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

Hi ya Sean and a warm welcome to you from across the pond ;)

Hi Delia
I have had to situate window feeder on ledge as the Blackbirds and Starling knock it down otherwise :)

I have mine tied with some string as an extra back-up. I'm in a first floor flat.

It's the Starlings that cause all the bother, fighting over possession, so I chase them off it. They've a feeder in the garden for goodness sake... LOL A blackbird sometimes feeds on the window ledge, but never tried to go on the feeder.
