Hello everyone!

Thank you, for this forum, and allowing me to join!

My wife and I enjoy feeding & watching wild birds on our property.

I signed up here in my search for answers to questions I have about
an issue with bluebirds. I will do a search for info, but the gist is, we are wondering why the parent blue birds have not returned to the nest (2 days now)
after the baby left.

That is the way nature works with the birds. They only use the nests while breeding is taking place.

Hi there and a warm welcome to you from those of us on staff here at BirdForum :t:

We're glad you found us and thanks for taking a moment to say hello. Please join in wherever you like ;)

Hi Randy and a warm welcome from me too.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I hope to hear about all the birds you see when out and about.

Yes, KC is right, there's very few birds that will re-use their nest after the brood has fledged. Another species might take it over though.

Hi Randy, welcome to the forum. I’m sure you will enjoy your time here.
