Seeking advice on South West Bulgaria birding, reptile and mammal viewing early July. (1 Viewer)

Hi all.

For a week in early July I am staying in Bansko. We are currently looking at 1 day Trigrad Gorge, 1 day Kresna Gorge, 1 day Rupite / Melnik and 1 day in the Mesta Valley, then a few days in the mountains around Bansko.

Can anyone advise whether or not this is appropriate to maximize interesting bird and reptile species?

Furthermore, can anyone offer any more specific sites within the areas listed above that are particularly good for finding reptiles or some of the more interesting birds?

Is there anywhere in the area that is feasible for some of the mammals that occur which don't in Britain?

Which places are best for photography of birds, mammals, reptiles etc?

Thanks for your help!

It seems you have mostly the mountain/gorge areas. Are there any grassy lowlands? Bulgaria is in that particular spot where the westernmost populations of some Asian wheatears, larks, snakes etc. appear.
