Thank you. I prefer the starlings, though. I had some trouble with the positions these guys are in.

Really nice work on getting the texture of the feathers right. I've always felt that LTTs feel very "soft" and fluffy and you caught that great. I especially like the middle bird, very cute!

I think the most important thing is catching the essence of the bird. so whoever looks at them thinks 'that's just what they're like!'

I agree completely! Incidentally, LTTs are my favourite bird, so it's always nice to see paintings of them. You have a different subspecies than we do, but they're all cute.
(And few things are cuter than a bunch of LTTs together... http://www.tranemonatur.se/images/fagelbilder/2009/stjartmes01.jpg )
