Weird Chaffinch (?), Germany

Hi there,
have seen this Chaffinch couple doing the spring thing in April.
Sorting through the photos today, I think that the male looks a bit strange.

Greenish back, big white shoulder patch and the yellow patch on the wing.

Maybe I am having a dumb moment, so be easy on me ;-)
