HAWAII - Possible Elepaio? (1 Viewer)

Hey everyone! I spotted this bird while on Kauai, Hawai'i, near Waita Reservoir. The colouring seems reversed compared to other Elepaio species, however I am struggling to come up with anything else.

Any help identifying this would be great! Thank you!

Hi and welcome to Birdforum. I know next to nothing about Hawaiian birds, but have you considered the introduced White-rumped Shama?

Wikipedia says they were introduced to Kauai in 1931. I regularly see and hear them on Oahu, and just spent a couple days on Molokai where they're also regular.
